We are so grateful to Mark for treating my daughter after she had jaw surgery. He and Nikki are very kind and caring, and Mark really helped my daughter to heal. Her swelling went down much faster than we expected, and Mark treats the whole body and spirit, which are affected so much by the trauma of surgery and pain. A lovely bonus is their lovely Golden Retriever. My daughter walked in the door and the dog helped her to forget her pain. We are so grateful that our surgeon referred us to Mark, and that Mark took us on as short term clients (we are from Massachusetts and only here for one month).

Much time has past since my graduation from this wonderful experience, where I learned how to diagnose and treat the causes of suffering with compassion and expertise, successfully. Some of my fondess memories of the nearly 10 years of metriculating through the newly formed systems of education established to support this marvelous model of medicine. The people that shared their lives with me over the nearly 4 years, days and nights, to learn this skill and art, are remembered with affection and respect. I can't believe it has taken me so long to write this review! I briefly shared an office with Mark and Nikki and saw Nikki for treatment as well; both while sharing office space and after. My experience in both sharing space and as a patient was always of the utmost professionalism, compassion and quality of care that I have experienced.

WOW! I was lucky enough to find Nikki and Mark. They are the best in the West! I had a bad case of sciatica! Pain shooting down my leg, couldn't sit or lay down. After a few treatments the pain in my leg has gone away and not come back. I'm so impressed by the calmness and knowledge Nikki and Mark have I would recommend a trip to see them as soon as you can! They also recommended a couple of Chinese herbs that are helping me heal. Can't say enough about the relief Nikki has provide and the personal touch she gives. This is a 10 star!

Nikki is so nice and listens to your issues. My first visit was last Tuesday for my chronic back issues,SI and buldging disc. My time there was 1 1/2 hours for consult and treatment for $125. I have never had acupunture and desperate to find another solution other then surgery. I have had injections for a year now and did not do me justice. So I decided to try something more healing of natrual medicine. The day I left I was so relaxed I went home and slept for 3 days.. Lol . My body needed the rest and had no idea actupuncture can make you feel so relaxed . My back pain continued, but that is a sign it is working and we cant expect miracles overnight. Im happy to be going back for my 2nd treatment and so on until I see a change with my back issues.

Before I started seeing Nikki, I was trying to get pregnant for about 2.5 months. I didn't think I had fertility issues, but definitely felt that a little help in the right driection (maybe relaxing and moving some chi would help things along). I also had some shoulder issues I wanted to address, so I figured accupuncture was a good way to go. I emailed Nikki and she called me the next day, on her day off. She was able to get me in within a few days. I liked her immediately. We had our first appointment, I really enjoyed speaking with her, she put in a lot of time and seemed to care. We talked a lot about my history, both mental and physical and after my first appointment, she said she thought she could help me and asked if I would give her 6-8 weeks of seeing her once a week and adding in some herbs. I said I would give her 8 weeks (two weeks) and then I might see a doctor doctor. One cycle went by (this was within the first week of seeing her) and then another cycle went by and then surprise I was pregnant. I had made an appointemy with a specialist and didn't end up having to go. I have been seeing her for about 3 months now and I am 10.5 weeks pregnant. I continue to see Nikki to just help this little nugget stay in (first trimester), help stay comfortable with the pregnancy and my shoulders are a lot better, but we are still working through that. If you are considering trying accupuncture, Do it. If you are trying to get pregnant and are stressed or just want some extra help (because a little help never hurt anyone), call or email Nikki. Give her a few months, she will help. She is magic.

Nikki and Mark are very gifted practitioners. I came in for a specific medical issue and I received professional, caring treatment for my ailment. My health has improved dramatically. Thank you!

I started seeing Mark a couple of years ago as the last resort for a stubborn chronic health issue after I realised that Western medicine wasn't going to be able to do more than treat my symptoms. The office is warm and welcoming and Mark is extremely professional and knowledgeable about both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. In fact, I've seen a number of acupuncturists over the past 20 years but none of them have had Mark's skill at diagnosis or treatment! After I started treatments at CCOM, I enjoyed the best health that I've had in 10 years. The treatments sorted out my chronic pain, increased my energy and also solved a number of other problems that I'd just assumed were normal life; like acid indigestion, rheumatic pain and poor sleeping patterns. I've since moved away from Santa Barbara and sadly miss my visits to CCOM. I still drop in there whenever I'm back for a visit though as I've not found an acupuncturist as skilled as Mark, no matter where I look!

I have been having neck and shoulder chronic pain for 12 years. I had tried many treatments before but they only relieved the pain for 2-3 days. After my first acupunture treatment from Nikki at CCOM I was pain free immediately! I am so amazed at the fast results! After my first treatment I also experienced a burst of energy in me. I highly recommend anyone who is suffering from pain to go to community centered oriental medicine and try it, it is amazing!
