I was a patient of Dr. Oliveras for nearly four years. He is knowledgeable and, when available, attentive. However, since May 2025, the clinic’s quality has severely declined. All of my 2025 appointments since May were rescheduled the same day, and I have gone over two months now without medication because prescriptions were not sent despite multiple follow-ups. I had no choice but to switch providers to continue treatment. That said, the staff was otherwise great.

Causando un desvalance y efectos fuera de control. Esta citas más reciente la cancelo y quería la secretaria reagenndar la cita 9 semanas adelante, La recepcionista y secretaria hacen preguntas privadas de la medicacióny piden explicasion, donde esta la privacidad del paciente, triste triste, las recetas tardaban en enviarlas a la farmacia y había que llamar y llamar para que la enviaran esto siempre que toco enviar receta intentaban explicar que están con mucho trabajo y estas dos no dan para tanto trabajo. Eso dijo una un día.Triste triste fue con muchas expectativas y deseos de quedarse pero en ultima cita el doctor miraba el techo cuando le contestaba a el.lo que el.le preguntaba. Triste Triste puede alguien afectar se más por estas situaciones. Por lo menos 4 empleadas seria justo para que ayuden a las dos que ahí. Ellas fueron.amables siempre aunque hacían unas preguntas que debía hacer el doctor. Les quiso mucho y se fue triste triste.

He's okay if you actually get to see him. I stopped going because he wasn't there half the time and the nurse would just do the appointment- there's really no need to see him if the entire appointment is "are the meds okay? Any questions for the doctor?". There was also a new receptionist that would make very unnecessarily comments while getting checked in. I would dread my appointments because I hated dealing with her.

Similar to another reviewer. I've been a patient with them for over 4 years. They used to be good, but now they seem too busy to do anything competently. My last visit, my prescription was never sent to the pharmacy. A week after my appointment (a Monday) I called and the receptionist, informed them I had been of out of the medication for a few days. They said the doctor would fill it. It was never filled. The next day I called and emailed and emphasized again that I had been out of the medication for several days and was not sleeping and really struggling to function. I was told the doctor is busy but he would handle it. It was not handled. I called two more times on the wednesday, and again, they assured me the doctor would send it in. It was not sent in. Finally that Thursday (a week and a half after my initial appointment, 4 days after I started calling them complaining) I physically drove down to the office and told them I would not leave until I had proof the prescription was sent in. Again the receptionist and his assistant said the doctor was aware of my situation and just said the doctor was "so busy". If you're SO BUSY YOU CANT EVEN REFILL MEDICATIONS AND FORCE YOUR PATIENTS TO COLD TURKEY THEIR MEDICATION then something is seriously wrong. 30 minutes after I showed up he finally sent in the prescription and they showed me the proof. He never came out of his office and spoke to me. He never apologized. He nor his office staff ever showed any empathy about my situation despite me making it very clear that I was experiencing sleep deprivation and other issues due to suddenly stopping a medication I had been taking daily for ~8 years. All they could say is that they're just sooooo busy. If this continues, he will kill someone. He's lucky my medication is just uncomfortable to stop suddenly. There are plenty of other psychiatric medications that can cause serious issues if stopped without tapering. Do not trust this office, they're clearly too busy to care for clients properly now.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Olivera for over 8 years. Unfortunately, his office is now very hard to get ahold of. The staff are also not that helpful and are rude. I’ve called, emailed, and asked twice about getting a bloodwork order and medicine refilled, and was told I would be called back, but I never received a call. It’s been over 3 weeks since I asked for bloodwork. When you do see him, it takes 2 days for the medicine to be called in. Most doctors' offices send the order to the pharmacy as soon as you walk out of the appointment. This has occurred on multiple appointments with the doctor. Unfortunately, this is now making me consider finding a new psychiatrist, in worry about running out of medicine cause his office doesn’t answer, and the staff are not helpful and don’t follow through on what they say they will do, like calling back or getting bloodwork ordered. Edit: After expressing my concerns with the office and being told several times I would get a call from the office manager regarding my concerns, I have yet to hear anything or have my concerns addressed since originally posting this.

I really wanted to schedule an appointment because this doctor was recommended to me by two of my friends who speak of him very highly. I called the office and unfortunately spoke with an extremely rude receptionist who informed me that they have over 1500 patients and don’t accept new ones because they have a lot of people on waiting list. When I asked her if she can put me on the waiting list, she told me there is no waiting list. I asked her if she can maybe recommend someone and she answered that this is her first time working for psychiatrist and that I should use google. Looks like she might not be a good fit to work in mental health environment. I wish I had a chance to meet with Dr. Olivera.

I highly recommend Dr. Olivera. He genuinely cares for both his patients and their families. He is compassionate, down-to-earth, an excellent psychiatrist, a great listener, and most importantly, he does not give up on his patients. He has helped my family for many years, and we will be forever grateful to him. He has truly been a blessing in our lives! Nilmarie, the receptionist, is also wonderful. Regardless of the situation, she is always polite and helpful.

5 stars for Dr. Olivera and his staff falls short and is an understatement for the quality of care, service and dedication that is provided to the patients. I have been a patient for about or almost 5 years. Dr. Olivera from day one has just been absolutely exceptional. He takes his time to listen, he actually CARES, he provides a plan of care specific to your needs and best of interest, and also takes the time to break the details down to the T so you understand his approach. Dr. Olivera has a sense of humor that I appreciate it, he is kind, he has been with me through some of my darkest moments and not once has he brushed any of my concerns off. I love that he is smart and he definitely knows his "craft!!" he is in no way shape or form a push-over and I love that. Will there be misunderstandings? Will you have to wait a bit long to be seen at times? Will prescriptions take a bit to get to the pharmacy? Will appointments get rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances? Yes, these things happen in every medical office, but what is rare to see, is a doctor who loves what he does, knows his field, truly listens and cares for your wellbeing. Dr. Olivera is the epitome of exceptional quality Psychiatric Service. Dr, if you ever leave Florida, I'm going with you!! I always tell the office staff we need to clone you!!
