If I could give UAD more than 5 stars I would! This office is amazing - I was raised by a dental hygienist for a mother who is VERY particular about where I go for my dental services since I have left home and I can confidently say she would LOVE Dr. Zalay and her team. The whole staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and honest. They never oversell you or up charge their services or products and really take the time to address your concerns and educate you on whats best for you and why. Ive been going to Jojo for cleanings and Dr. Zalay for Invisalign - both are incredible to work with. Dr. Zalay took the time to educate me on the process, what to expect, timelines, etc., and has been more than accommodating in meeting me anytime I have questions or just want a quick 5 minute check in to make sure everything is progressing correctly. Her and her team are so patient and kind, not to mention hilarious and fun to be around. I look forward to going in and seeing everyone there! I am one of many from my office that visit here and everyone I know has had similar feedback. I will continue referring my network here as I highly recommend UAD!

I came in to see Dr. Zalay to get fillings done for the first time in my life. I was fairly anxious and didn't know what to expect. Dr. Zalay did an amazing job of keeping me at east with the process and had a wonderful attitude. She told me exactly what she was going to do and chatted with me as she did the work. In addition to having a great attitude, she made it very clear that she would spend as much time as necessary to get the job done perfectly.I will simply not consider seeing another dentist as long as I live in the Chicago area.Andy

I have been to more dentists then I can count - I couldn't find one that had my best interest at heart. That is until I met Dr. Marcus. He is excellent and extremely knowledgeable in all skilled/technical areas but what puts him over the top in my humble opinion is he is such a compassionate person. Thank you Dr. Marcus - you gave me my smile back and I will be forever grateful.

Epic dentistry!

University Associates in Dentistry changed my life and words can't even express how thankful I am for everything they have done for me. In my early 20s I found out I had external resorption with extensive bone loss on my front tooth. Every dentist, periodontist, and oral surgeon that I had seen commented on how my case was the worst case they have ever seen. I had experienced several surgeries and failed bone graphs which led to a bridge that I knew would not be a forever fix and a complete loss of confidence. Once I moved to the city, a friend in the field referred me to Dr. Baer. Dr. Baer allowed me to regain hope and confidence. His expertise in the field is unmatched. He successfully completed multiple bone grafts which allowed me to receive an implant. He made the process as stress free as possible and kept me laughing along the way. From there, Dr. Schelkopf facilitated the finished product by customizing my implanted tooth and crowns for the other front teeth. He did an absolutely beautiful job and has an eye for detail. I cannot thank Dr. Baer and Dr. Schelkopf and the rest of the staff enough for allowing me to regain confidence in my smile and to ease my years worth of anxiety. Their knowledge, communication, and compassion towards their patients cannot be compared. There is no better feeling than getting compliments on your smile. Thank you for changing my life!

Dr. Marcus is wonderful. On my last visit I had a chipped filling repaired and it has never been easier. Dr. Marcus took his time to make sure my bite was normal after the filling. And he made sure I was doing fine throughout the entire procedure. It was fast too - only 25 mins to repair and we determined I didn't need any novocaine to numb the area, so as I'm writing this I have no droopy feeling in my face. :) Lisa is an excellent hygienist. She worked closely with Dr. Marcus to make sure I was taken care of. She is friendly and gentle. Also, they gave me a great discount on my filling because it was so fast and efficient.

I recently had some cosmetic dentistry performed by Dr. Marcus and his team. I could not be more pleased with the results. The office was patient in sitting down and hosting the appropriate consultation with me to learn what I was hoping to get from new cosmetic bridge work. All around pleased with the service, professionalism and final product.

Superior service and dentistry. UAD has an atmosphere of personalized, nurturing care: the dentists, hygenists and office staff all foster a calming and supportive atmosphere. Most importantly, the dental care is exceptionally competent - I've had 3 major procedures (root canal & dental implant) at University Associates in Dentistry and all have gone terrifically. I recommend UAD to anyone needing a great dentist.

I love Dr. Lauren Zalay! <3 Best dentist ever! I came to her upon recommendation from my parents who love UAD. I had some dark indents on my two front teeth that were very visible and unattractive— caused by acid erosion from eating a lot of lemons as a child. I went to my old dentist hoping it would be an easy fix—she told me my only option was veneers on the two front ones, followed by a recommendation to veneer all 10 of my top teeth, in order to have them all match. With each veneer at $1,300, that was not only impossible for my family and I, but also involved invasive surgery that wasn’t necessary for my teeth at such a young age (22yrs). When I came to UAD I was given a consultation and then paired with Dr. Lauren Zalay who gave me options that saved us so much money and were far less invasive. I did Invisalign, whitening and bonding with her. She was so patient and always answered all my questions super thoroughly. She’s clearly so committed to her work and her patients, and has been such a pleasure to get to know. I am quite particular—so I would often express to Dr. Zalay things I was unsatisfied with and that I wanted her to fix. She always responded enthusiastically, was very proactive about giving me exactly what I wanted and actually seemed to like my obsession with precision and perfection. She always has a smile on and is capable of so many different procedures, and really takes the time to educate her patients on the different procedures and helps them figure out what’s best in their case. She also has a relatively flexible schedule! I was able to make appointments always within the week I needed to see her. I was so sad when all my procedures were done because I loved seeing Dr. Zalay regularly, but also— she did SUCH an amazing job with my teeth, they are perfection! You can’t tell I had anything done to them, they just look like natural, perfect teeth. I feel so much more confident with them than I did when I saw her for the first time. Dr. Zalay is clearly passionate about what she does which makes her great at it, while also showing genuine care for her patients and their needs. Will definitely be going back to her for all future dental procedures. I highly recommend her services for anyone.
