Ruben was professional, courteous, and always friendly. I am a female and this was a process I chose after decades of living with basically extreme minimal hair over entire head (genetic we believe). The initial consultation with him is what “sealed the deal”. At the culmination of this process a handshake and a hug were in order! I was curious about SMP and I watched a couple videos before coming in. I want to say that Ruben did a great job explaining the process and helping advise me on the best hairline/darkness that would work for me. He was also patient with me (I can be a bit indecisive sometimes haha) but overall the SMP came out great! If you’re thinking about it but are not too sure, I would say to come in for a consultation and Ruben will do a great job in answering any questions and putting your mind at ease

This is going to be a lengthy review. But if you are a woman with long hair, struggling with thinning hair or hair loss, please keep reading. Or really anyone who is having doubts about moving forward with SMP. Let me start by saying that I was very hesitant about this procedure. I was unfamiliar with the concept of tattooing my scalp. However, after trying scalp injections, topical ointments, minoxidil and so many other treatments I reached out to a hair transplant expert who said that due to my diagnosis of alopecia areata I was not a good candidate for transplants. I felt very discouraged. As a woman who has had long hair her whole life, and loved her long hair you can imagine this was a big blow. Enter SMP research. I have a male friend who had done SMP in the past but was not sure how this would work for a woman with long hair who was just looking to add density and maybe cover some spots which caused insecurities. I read a lot of reviews for a lot of SMP artists but what stood out the most about Edge Scalp was the amount of women who they had worked with. I was impressed by the reviews left by women and their before and after pictures. This made me hopeful. Please know SMP is a process. Trust the process. I was worried after the first session because in my mind I was expecting to look like I had this head full of hair from one day to the next. That is not how it works and I will say there were times I had my doubts but I chose to continue to trust the process. Ruben explained the whole process to me and was great at answering my questions, and trust me I had a lot. He is very strategic and meticulous when it comes to placement. This is truly an art for him. After session two I felt so relieved. I could see it all coming together. I felt myself not having to style my hair in ways that covered up those spots I was so insecure about. Fast forward to session three and I love it. I can run my fingers through my hair and not feel like I need to go back and check if it still looks okay or if the bare spots are showing. I don't spend nearly as much time moving strands of hair around. I am much more confident walking outside even when my hair looks messy. I am still working with my dermatologist on my journey to regrow hair naturally but I am so glad I moved forward with SMP. Ruben is truly an artist and master of his craft. This has changed my life for the best and I can't say enough about Edge Scalp. Also as another reviewer mentioned it is very clean and I can appreciate the music selection. Definitely a good vibes during the procedure.

Went in for a treatment, Ruben was patient and careful with the tattoos. Didn’t experience any pain, and he took great care to make sure I understood the after care. Great price, great quality, and did an extra session to really perfect it.
