I think hooray for a clinic like this some people do care. It goes to show not all addicts gave up.
I have been going here for several years now (I have chronic pain issues and prefer to stay on my methadone rather than go back to the morphine and OxyContin the Dr would give me at my primary Dr.) and have been satisfied for the most part with the quality treatment I have received. As with any methadone clinic you have "bad eggs" that are there to get their fix but if you are serious about getting and staying clean Vahalla will give you the tools to do so. So like with anything in life it all depends on how committed you are and how hard you are willing to work to achieve your goals!
I highly recommend coming here to get clean from opioids. I don't recommend being on this long term and there are a lot of problems that they don't tell you Bout methadone when you're first getting started. For example, taking methadone every single day is really hard on the enamel of your teeth. So rough in face anyone that has been on the program at least 3 years will start to notice their teeth crumbling. The nurses are polite, funny, and have personality. Most of the counselors are very personable, such as one of the supervisors, Jenny and the director, Julie. There's not a lot of drama here for the amount of patients that attend. The Russian/Ukrainian security guard is just a peach. My fiance and I enjoy talking to him about cars every once in a while. We always enjoy being greeted by him and saying bye when we leave. I would give this place 5 starts, but when I started, one of the staff here his name was Chuck, told our whole family that there are ZERO withdrawals when you come off of it and that is not true at all. Methadone has some of the worst withdrawals out of any drug I have had. I always tell new patients is works well short term but long term is where the problems start to come in. However, this clinic has changed my life for the better. I have had my own apartment the last 10 years and have made rent every time. I have a newer vehicle now, and I am sustaining family and friend relationships. One thing they don't tell you is that technically you're not supposed to drive on methadone because it is a narcotic. If you get in an accident or something. You will get a DUI because of it so be careful!
Methadone is not a short term fix. Many of the clients here are not getting sober and are active addicts. Sometimes people will be selling drugs outside. My advice is don't trust anyone but yourself if you go here and keep your eye out on the financial people and make sure you know where your money is going.
I've been a patient here for going on 5 years now, having 3-4 different insurances throughout. Despite knowing my co-pays/coverages to a "T", the Woodbury location's billing office continued demanding more money despite already paying my co-pays each and every visit. They wouldn't "dose" my medication unless paid, which is certainly non-negotiable. Well, after "5 years" of knowing something wasn't right, I finally decided to pursue wrongdoing. Once that ball finally got rolling, was pulled aside my "multiple" billing reps at the facility and told ALL billing-related issues were "ACCURATE", however I wasn't buying it. Fast forward "1 YEAR" later, it was determined that they owed me over $1500 in overpayments, which was confirmed nearly 2 weeks ago now, yet am being told that overpayment isn't an issue they typically deal with while patients are still in the program, and why the refund is STILL being delayed, despite already waiting 1 entire year throughout an investigation by a third party. Instead, the billing specialist continues to tell me they're doing me a "favor" and making "accommodations" for MY OWN MONEY that should've never been taken in the first place, to be refunded/returned. I'm certainly no "Einstein", but how does that even make any logical sense? Why would being in the program or not affect a company's ability to REFUND money they overcharged for "years?" How can an investigation of overpayment take an ENTIRE YEAR? What kind of "accommodation" could possibly be needed to return my money? Overall, my experience in this program has been a complete and utter NIGHTMARE! Here I am addressing an opiate addiction, yet for YEARS of continuous treatment per my own "well being" am overcharged consistently? Despite raising concerns on NUMEROUS occasions relating to billing over that timeframe, was repeatedly told I wouldn't get my daily medication unless paying MORE money. Now that the "1 year" investigation has been concluded and am STILL waiting on getting my money back, haven't received ANY apology and/or sympathy/empathy about COMPLETELY taking advantage of an "opiate-dependent" patient seeking treatment, while simultaneously having ZERO restrain from DEMANDING more money even though I questioned overpayment time and time again. At the end of the day I was 100% spot on with my intuition/gut feeling, as they have once again ADMITTED to overcharging me over $1500, yet STILL no apology? STAY FAR FAR AWAY if at all possible!!
The staff there harass people online. An employee by the name of Tricia Simon does not care about patients that suffer from disorders. She clearly attacks people on her social media that have disorders and calls them vulgar language. Screenshots and links will be provided and reports have already been made to Facebook. If this company knew half the stuff she said (as she clearly represents your company name) action would have been taken place a long time ago
My son is very new to this program so I may write a review later on if my mind changes, but as of now 2 very discouraging issues come about, #1, the addict is supposed to be there by 11 on saturday, if you are not, you miss your methadone dose for saturday and sunday, this happened this past weekend and according to my son there is no alternative. I tried calling here and it disconnects you unless you are a doctor it let's you leave a message which I ended up doing but no one reached out even the next business day. Addiction doesnt stop on the weekend and things happen, so this is disappointing, disgusting that there isnt an alternative go to plan if this happens, also my insurance verified we met our deductible, so no out of pocket is required from us, yet they keep making my son pay the 20$ a day, and act like eventually it will get figured out I have offered my insurances direct phone # and they refuse to verify and blow me off. Addiction is a terrible illness and its disheartening to feel like the places you turn to for help are not legitimately there to help, you are just another $$ opportunity to cash in on. Very heart breaking.
My kids mom was going here for over three years and all they did was enable her use and harm reduction is a joke. It's legal and sanctioned dope selling, and circumvents the systems in place to curb the behavior.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
