Today is a very happy and emotional day for me and my family. Almost three months ago I was told I needed to begin radiation treatment for prostate cancer. My daughter made an appointment with the Cancer Center at St. Mary Medical Center. It was a scary time but I must say from the minute I walked into the center and met the TEAM and Dr. Flannery, I was completely at ease. The second you walk in the door you are greeted by a friendly smile by everyone there – receptionist, nurses, technicians and physicians. My treatment plan was 44 radiation treatments, Monday-Friday for 9 weeks. What seemed like a time consuming plan was definitely not. The team works like a well oil machine. They are timely, efficient and most of all caring and compassionate. No waiting around, you are in and out and on with your day. I must express my utmost gratitude in my physician, Dr. Flannery. He was so attentive and listened to my fears about this cancer. He provided me the best treatment plan and consulted with all of my physicians – urologist, PCP and cardiologist – so I could have the best treatment and outcome for ME. He took the time to call and check upon me as I began this journey. He was compassionate and always willing to explain every step, answer questions from myself and my family. He explained things in terms me and my family could understand. It is treatment 44 and a bittersweet day. I have made new friends on this journey and have always felt comfortable and cared for by everyone. Cancer is a nasty disease but Dr. Flannery and the team and St. Mary Cancer Center make it a positive experience. Thank you seems too minimal for my gratitude and appreciation I feel today! Today I am surrounded by my family, friends and care team as I ring the bell to signify the completion of my treatment and it is the greatest feeling in the world!
I brought my wife to HMC for abdominal pain she was experiencing...I was very impressed with the ER staff and the ER Dr....the nurses and technicians were very professional and understanding...it turns out my wife was experiencing appendicitis and needed an operation...Dr. Allard took very good care of my wife...I would highly recommend HMC any day!....Thank you for all your assistance and caring with my wife's situation!!
Came here by Ambulance. From.begining, during, and discharge, the care I received across the board was 10 Stars. Nurses on 5 South were compassionate, caring and had so much empathy. Not only for me, I got to see how other were treated. I'm greatful for getting a prognosis for my conditions and feel more hopeful than when I arrived.
As an inpatient the care was more than 5 star from the person who greeted me at the ER, to triage, to desk clerk, to the nurses, doctors, entire staff. To being called for my meals by the kitchen, to the speed with which I received my care, and testing and surgery. It was the best hospital with the best care I have ever been in. I have visited many people in the tri-state area, and occasionally have been a patient in NJ and NY. But this hospital and its care is a true gem. Kudos to the administration I have not had a chance to look them up yet because I came home from surgery yesterday. But I could tell the employees were well taken care of, including my excellent nurse who was there 30 years. My surgeon Dr. Alvarez was top notch. I couldnt have asked for better care.
I had a cardiac event and was extremely well treated. The doctors were superb, listening to my needs and suggesting potential solutions. I appreciate immensely their intervention. The nursing staff laso merit a five star. Thank you to all of you.
Just had my inguinal hernia surgery at Hunterdon Medical Center's Same Day surgery center and I am healing well. The staff was very professional with multiple checks and balances at each stage of the process. They also have a sincere compassion and spirit that is much harder to find at the larger hospitals. I would like to particularly call out Christina and Marcia on Dr. Joseph Bello's excellent Team. Thank you Hunterdon Medical Center!
This was my 10 year old son's third tip to a different ER. Hunterdon Medical Center's ER does not have a pediatric ER yet we were treated with more compassion and kindness than Morristown and Robert Wood Johnson's pediatric ER. He received very good care and all the doctor's are top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you for taking such great care of my son.
We got home yesterday afternoon. I want to thank the staff for caring for my baby boy and me during our stay. While the delivery wasn't perfect and I have some small complications, I have all I need to take care of myself and the baby. They helped my husband and me, being first-time parents and all, and we got many of our questions answered.
Yesterday, I went to the ER with terrible joint and muscle pains that were getting worse over a few weeks. I had been advised to see a rheumatologist by my primary physician. The earliest spot I could get for that is a month away. I couldn’t sleep, was in horrific pain at times and was really grasping at straws to see if there was anything the ER could do. From the woman at the desk for checking in, sorry I don’t recall her name, everything was streamlined very well. I was seen immediately and made to feel that I was heard by every staff member I contacted. My heartfelt thanks to Nurse Monica Sirusas from whom I felt great compassion, and to Dr. Mona Jaggi for being very thorough, straightforward, and finding a solution to get me through this. I slept well last night and have far less pain and inflammation today. 10 stars from me. I can’t thank them enough. Jami McLaughlin
I most recently was treated at your ER for a concussion. Dr Nimish Mehta MD treated me with the utmost care, dignity and respect. He respectfully acknowledged my desire to use the Yogic breath instead of medicine. He is quite beautiful inside and out. Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Shanti Om Peace Peace Peace. Humbled and recovering with love peace and respect. I would also like to humbly thank Andrea a Social Worker who indeed treated me with love and respect. My concussion was due to an act of Violence that she knows should never be tolerated. Thank you Andrea for empowering me to live my life with love love and more love.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals.
