We moved to the area a few years ago, and my teenager developed two small warts on his nose just a few months into the school year. Even though my then-15 yo son was a new patient, Dr. Cuozzo and his staff worked with us to fit my son in for a late afternoon/after-school appt within 48 hours, as they understood how embarrassing this could be at a new high school. Flash forward to recently, when I was overdue for a routine skin scan for melanoma after leaving the DC area where I'd had scans every 2-3 years. In addition to the scan, I asked Dr. Cuozzo about a chronic condition I had on two of my toes, something a series of supposedly "top-notch" derms in the DC area (Chevy Chase, MD) had been unable to treat or to address very well. Dr. Cuozzo prescribed a cream as well as some specific moisturizing tips, which are already working. He also had some excellent suggestions for me, as I am the chief dishwasher/cook/cleaner in our household, and prone to ezcema on some areas of my body. So impressed by this dermatologist. Recommend Dr. Cuozzo to anyone. There's a reason his calendar is fully-booked. Call in advance, preferably at least 2 months out. Another plus -- his administrative staff is very professional. They handle insurance submission and co-pays accurately, and in a friendly manner. The nurse practitioner/physician's assistant who initially saw me in the consult room was extremely professional, warm and engaging, but she just took down notes, and didn't do any diagnosis. Dr. Cuozzo handled everything requiring medical background himself. So happy to have found a derm. My husband is now scheduling his own overdue skin scan.
