Dorothea Altschul

I was referred to Dr. Altschul by my ENT because I had a bad case of pulsatile tinnitus. Dr. Altschul was able to perform a surgery to fix the problem. She placed a venous stent to correct a blood flow problem I was having in a vein very close to my ear. I immediately felt the difference when I woke up from the surgery as the whooshing noise in my ear has completely disappeared and has not returned. This has allowed me to sleep better than I have in about 10 years and the severe headaches I was having from IIH seem to have disappeared as well. She is definitely a great surgeon with amazing bedside manner; very thorough and explains everything in great detail so you can arrive for your procedure confident that everything will go well. My quality of life has improved tremendously since having this procedure and I highly recommend Dr. Altschul. You won't find a better surgeon!

Dr. Altschul in my opinion is an excellent neurosurgeon. She explains all issues in layman's terms and answers all question. She spends a substantial amount of time with me explaing in detail and I feel that she is well connected to her patients. I would strongly recommend Dr. Altschul to any person experiencing conditions related to cranial anuerisms.

Dr. Altschul and her team are very professional and very supportive of the patient. The entire team helped me prepare for my procedure with care and in a very thorough manner. Everything was explained and illustrated prior to the procedure. This was very helpful in alleviating any anxiety or concerns. I don't have enough worlds to thanks Dr Dorothea. She saved my mom's life (Betsabe Rondon) and improved her quality of life. She was able to fix two aneurysms and one fistula in her brain.
