I had my first longitudinal therapist ever during such a transitional, anxious time of my life through MyTherapyNYC, and I had an incredibly positive overall experience. They initially called me for a phone screening to ask about my goals and what therapist priorities, and after being on the waitlist for two months, I was paired up with a therapist that I came to truly appreciate. I was really hesitant about therapy with my busy application process and job, but my therapist was incredibly flexible with my schedule (as much as her schedule would allow) and super understanding about everything. She always felt like she was on my team and my side to really make everything work well for me. She was healing and compassionate, and made it easy for me to open up and get a lot out of my sessions. I can't thank her and myTherapy enough. Although I moved, she was willing to stay with me for my adjustment period which I am super grateful for, and she said she'd be happy to talk with my new therapist to share notes. I am sad to find a new therapist in my new state, but am grateful for how much I've been built up.
