I was CareFlighted on Monday afternoon from the Pittsburg ER - inferior STEMI heart attack. Both of my flight nurses were named Amanda - I call them amazing! I was greeted in the ER at Tyler by a bevy of nurses and doctors - may have been 10 to 15, but there seemed to be an army of care givers - not the least of which was my beloved cardiologist, Dr. David Dick - boy was I glad to see him!!! I was immediately wheeled into the cath lab where Dr. Dick removed a clot and inserted a stent (with another to be done in a few weeks). Success!!! Though the night I spent in CVICU was sleepless, the care I received was exceptional - thank you Lauren. Tuesday afforded me the opportunity to meet perhaps the best nurse I’ve had in my 62 years of life - thank you from the bottom of my heart for Steven Harms - you truly are a Godsend! (I even wondered if I might be “entertaining an angel unawares”). I am now upstairs on the cardiac floor and the care continues to be exceptional! Truly, everyone one we’ve encountered has been caring and kind, from custodial to nutrition to administration to nurses and doctors - you will be my medical providers of choice as long as my “ticker” keeps ticking!!!!

Quick visit urgent care sent me to UT Health Henderson ER. I’ve been coughing uncontrollably which caused a lot of chest pressure. During my visit the emergency room physician did not evaluate me, he stood by the glass door. I asked for something to drink and cough medicine 3 times, the last time i paged the nurse she brought something. I paged every 45 minutes or so. I was told I had a viral infection by the nurse as she discharged me. I noticed I didn’t only received an rx for pain. I ask s if he was prescribing anything else and she said no. She asked if I’d like to speak with him, I declined because he had already talked with me why should I have to ask for medicine. I felt unwelcomed and had an horrible experience so I won’t return. They also spoke poorly about the Urgect care facility and staff. These employees are highly unprofessional.

I love so much about this hospital the docs and many friends that work here but Heads would roll if Betsy Ellis was still there and saw how filthy this hospital is! And in a “pandemic”. They give you a mask at the front door, which is laughable after seeing the overflowing garbage. 3 weeks in cardiac icu waiting room, trash never taken out until it smelled and was overflowing same in the bathroom, we finally tracked someone down to complain
