After seeing a G.I. Doctor for children in Knoxville, my seventeen-year-old son had an endoscopy and colonoscopy to try to figure out what was causing his rapid weight loss, stomach pain, and vomiting. The results showed he had gastritis and eosinophilic esophagitis. Not to get into what a bad experience that was with that doctor, I'll just say we got no answers as to what was causing his issues, only frustration.After one visit to Dr. Adams's office, my son was diagnosed with gastroparesis. After changing his eating habits and avoiding foods that we now know will make him sick, he's already feeling better. I can't thank Dr. Adams or recommend him enough. He may not have the 'look' of a traditional doctor, however, that and his demeanor made us like him even more. He took time to explain things to us and made sure we understood the diagnosis. He and his staff are great.

If you want the best, here he is! You may have to wait to see him, took me 3 months for appt n 3 hrs office wait but let me tell you! Dr Linus J Adams is the best in his field! He set up the gastroenterology field at UT hospital….. HE IS WORTH THE WAIT and his staff is awesome as well…..

Dr Adams saved my life. Diagnosed my gastroparesis in 5 minutes other doctors spent 18 months trying to figure things out. GIA Knoxville told me it was all in my head!

Dr Adams and his staff are great! They are down to earth, normal folk. Dr Adams doesn’t strike you as a “Better than you” doctor as some do. He looks like he just rode in on his Harley and he explains things in normal language. His staff was super nice. The day i was there they were overbooked for reasons out of their control. They handled the rude, impatient people in the waiting room in a very professional way (way better than I would have!). I’m so glad my family doctor recommended him and his staff.

Yes he runs late, however he is the best, he takes emergencys that take longer and for that you got to wait.

Not only is Dr. Adams the absolute BOMB, his staff is great and they actually ANSWER THE PHONE! I cannot say enough good about Dr. Adams and his office — and I am not inclined to be overly fond of doctors.
