She was the first neurologist that I felt really knew what she was talking about. She gave me understanding to issues I wasn't clear about. VERY professional but also patient and talked to you not at you. I highly recommend her. And considering I am 65 and have seen a few it was refreshing.
I felt Dr. Dongas was extremely thorough, asked lots of pertinent questions. When I left her office I knew I had had the best physical exam (for the complaints I brought) by a physician I have ever received. She had a great bedside manner Dr. Dongas took plenty of time with me. Wish she was in Spring Hill more than 1 time a month.
Dr Dongas was kind, punctual, thorough, and gave me the time to ask questions. She explained well and never gave any indication she was in a hurry. All this made, what could have been a very stressful situation, much more relaxing.
I really liked this doctor. I remember thinking her examination was the most attention any doctor had ever given to a patient that I’d seen, and how appreciative I was of it, and how unnerving it must be for some folks to undergo it, who are used to the banal, little to no interaction most physicians give to their patient during an exam. Her dedication to understanding a patient’s issue is something that a lot of Doctors who have office hours for us could learn from. I came in with a complaint about my right hip, And feeling very sharp Pain, like a plucked string only when I moved my leg a certain way. What followed was the most unique and thorough neurological exam I’ve ever undergone, and since my Initial thoughts were that it had to be nerve-pain that was originating in my hip, she asked a lot of questions that I had not thought of: including any childhood spine injuries, and lower back problems, which weren’t at first related to me, but after The 10-13 minute exam where I was asked to show her my full range of moment and balance, and where she gave her full time And attention to me, she just couldn’t find any Support of a neurological base to my Pain issue. She suggested a spinal orthopedic doctor, And she was right, it turned out I had a torn labrum in my hip. This was 7 years ago. I am so grateful to her for her generosity and the time she spent with me as a patient has never been matched by any other doctor in town, as far as an exam. She never made any assumptions, and her ability to observe issues and study the patient is something, as an artist, I so admire. She is someone who may not be the right neurologist for you, if you prefer, say, A more in and out, nurse gets your info and the doctor sees you all of 5 minutes with little to no actual physical Involved other than a light in your eye, but no Real eye contact, And no actual examination in person. Or say, You would just rather have the old fashioned run of the mill standard get what you pay for doctor visit, Where you get the diagnosis And quick fix you want instead of a thorough evaluation, and Possibly correct And more accurate diagnosis, which would require participation from you, the patient seeking help from the medical community, for a short time, to be more Invested in your own well-being while you are there, with the specialist. But if this is above your threshold, Yes ,seek another more less attentive person, who looks at their shoes and laptop, and less at your issues. However if you are ready to find out what is going on with you and these problems are out of control, or maybe the banality of the last doctor was just too much, and you are ready for the most thorough, accurate, and best exam for your neurological well being ever, then yes, this specialist is for you. We live in a large and diverse city, and are fortunate to have many specialists To entertain the Equally diverse population of patients In need of care from this variety of medical professionals. I hope that this doctor will continue to help those that have found her Thorough methods useful and That others in Similar clinical Practice Take notice of how much she can do in the window of time a doctor spends with a patient per billable /half hour.
Very thorough and was helpful in eliminating meds and increasing the right ones. She is very direct and efficient.
Dr. Dongas is so thorough and came back when I was checking out after thinking of something we discussed. So happy with her.
Very professional. Front office staff very efficient
Dr. Dongas is a complete professional. Extremely thorough, with the ability to discuss concerns and diagnoses without all the medical jargon. She listens to the story and marries the person's experience with test results to arrive at a complete and whole plan of treatment. She is compassionate and kind without getting lost in the emotion of the issue which allows the patient to remain focused and grounded on the issue. She asks great open ended questions and is brilliant at guiding the patient to describe thier concerns without putting words in their mouth to fit her own preconceived idea of the issue. Highly recommended. Thanks Dr. Dongas
Dr. Dongas is very thorough and listens well during my office visits. She also follows-through and takes care of things like prior authorisations in a timely manner. She has been very helpful with helping me manage chronic migraines.
Absolutely the best doctor I have ever seen. She took more time with me than any other doctor I've ever seen. She is very kind and thorough. She is not there to just hand out pills. She sincerely wants to find the cause of your problem. I would never doubt her word on anything she told me.
