Good and efficient staff and procedure
This was the worst experience of any ER visit in my life. I was stuck in the ER for two days with minimal care, concern or help. If my son had not been with me one of the days, I would have never been able to get cup of water, or have basic human needs taken care of. I had to figure out how to turn off the IV, heart monitor and blood pressure machines myself as the alarms kept going off and no one would show up until 30-45 minutes later (it was equipment malfunction). They attempted to insert an IV four times over a 24-hour period and the only reason it was finally done right was an EMT came in to help. One of the "externs" tried to do an IV but she didn't know how so it was infiltrated - there was so much fluid my hand was swollen and my skin started cracking. Another IV was inserted with a bent needle. This experience was as bad as my illness. My IV pole was attached to the bed so I couldn't just get up and do things for myself. In an hour span, I called for help three times because I needed to go to the bathroom yet no one could be bothered to help. I understand the ER gets busy but I should have been put in a room or transferred to a sister property that could have taken care of me. After two days in the ER, they finally transfer me to a room. But, I get to the room, no bed. Then I have a bed, no sheets. An hour later I have a bed with sheets, no pillows. Hours later they find me a pillow. I had to ask for basic necessities like a toothbrush and soap. I later find out that other patients were given a "welcome" kit with all the things they needed. For some reason, I was not worthy of the same treatment. The doctors and nurses who took care of me once I was in the room were phenomenal. I credit them for saving my life and sanity (the ER stay really messed up my sanity). I am so thankful for their care and concern as it helped me heal so I could go home.
I cant say enough good words about the people here. I just got done with a hernia surgery and every single person that helped me were wonderful. No one was rude or pushy at all. They truly made me feel that they care for how I was feeling. Thank yall so much . From the nurses to people checking me in even people helping me with payments. Thank you!!!!!
The Medical Center Plano ER was the absolute worst I have ever experienced. The night shift nurses were great. Once day shift came in, downhill from there. I was in that room from approx 5:30 am, until after 6 pm, with a fractured hip. One muscle relaxer at about noon. The catheter was full. No nurses came in to empty it. No updates were given to me, nothing for pain. Calls to nurses were useless. They would "check with the doctor", and not come back for 3 hrs, when I would call again. The pre-op, post op and the rest were OK.
Prompt mammogram and bone density testing
I had surgery there 3 weeks ago. The medical staff is so attentive and compassionate. I had the best treatment.
Triage time was ok but thereafter the wait time for a CT Scan was about two hours with an additional hour added on to get the results. But to make matters worse after the doctor had reviewed the results and ordered a procedure, I was kept waiting for about an hour and finally when the nurse arrived she was carrying my discharge order. I explained that I had not received any treatment and after another interminable wait , during which I was in a great deal of discomfort, I finally received the treatment that the doctor had ordered. I will not be using this ER for any future emergencies.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
