IRONWOOD CANCER & RESEARCH CENTER IS SIMPLY THE BEST IN THE VALLEY. We had the great good fortune to have been referred to Dr Bhalla, Jenny Littrell, Brandy Romano (Oncology) and Dr Romney (Radiology) when my husband was diagnosed last year. Their extensive knowledge, expertise and aggressive methods of fighting the enemy were immediately planned and scheduled. Each and every member of this practice treated us with the utmost respect and kindness while always being upfront and honest. Anything and everything was explained so we could better understand what we’re going through. Although this has been the scariest thing we’ve ever been through we found Ironwood to be a welcoming environment that is warm and caring. Our team has been incredibly responsive to us with every inquiry and they facilitated referrals to other specialists, expediting the additional necessary treatment. We have put all our faith and trust in the brilliant Dr Bhalla and it’s warranted in every way. We don’t know how long our journey together will be and I will always carry these people in my heart with fondness and gratitude.

Dr. Mantripragada and Katelyn!!! I was referred to Ironwood Cancer Center due to very low iron during my pregnancy and at my first consult with Dr. Mantripragada he ordered I received iron transfusion ASAP and walked me over and he demanded they called my insurance to approve it right away, with in 10 min they started my iron transfusion, this is when you know a doctor really cares about you and doesn’t just send you away and wait for insurance to approve it! He truly is an amazing doctor! Katelyn! The sweetest soul ever! Katelyn would call me back and give me my b-12 shots and she always had a smile on her face! She truly is the sweetest ever and she was always so patient and she’s so good at giving me my injections they would never hurt! She would always ask how I was doing!! Thank you so much for being the sweetest!

Dr. S. Mendonca is my oncologist. I was scared and felt lost when diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr. Mendonca explained the process of what the next steps would cover. I am grateful that I was directed to her office because she is an amazing physician. Dr. Mendonca has been a doctor who is intelligent, thorough, caring, and goes above and beyond for my care. I believe Dr. Mendonca treats all of her patients with this respect. She takes the time to listen to my concerns and we make decisions together. I feel confident in her care and I believe you will too.

I found that Dr. Gross and team are very helpful, professional, courteous, thoughtful and customer centered. My several appointments have all been handled very efficiently and timely. My comments are reflective of the entire team from the front desk to the technicians to the doctor.

EVERYONE from first checkin to last checkout is so kind and always helpful! We have been in the chemo room, in radiation and in patient rooms. We have always had a good, positive experience every time we are there no matter the reason. Some staff, like Wini, Jen and Lisa go the extra mile and always greet us with a smile! This is the place!

If you’re looking for an oncologist you can truly trust, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. DeRook. He’s been caring for my Dad over ten years and we’ve always felt completely supported in his care. Dr. DeRook is calm and focused, and when we’re in the room with him, we feel like we have his full attention — he is never rushed or distracted. He explains things clearly and kindly without adding fear. He treats his patients with the same care and respect you’d expect from a good neighbor. His steady compassionate approach has meant the world to us. If I ever needed an oncologist myself, I’d choose Dr. DeRook in a heartbeat.

The employees at this facility are tremendous!! I only know 3 names,, Jen and Lisa at the front desk who warmly welcome you, Jacob who takes me back to the treatment room, but there are many others too!! Very considerate and extremely helpful!! You know you are in good hands with this staff!! And the dr.s are excellent!! I recommend this place to anybody diagnosed with cancer!!

Unfortunately we have had 4 different family members that have had to use Ironwood Cancer Center over the past couple of years. Currently we are seeing Dr Okolo-Taku. Let me tell you for having to go somewhere for one of the most frightful times of your life the center makes it so much less stressful. Dr Okolo makes sure you understand the diagnosis, the lab and test meanings, I can go on and on, she is absolutely amazing, caring and kind. The center set up is amazing. I wish all medical practices operated as they do, the most stress you will have is the reason you are there. I had the pleasure of meeting the office manager Heather and it totally explains why the center is so great from the moment you check in. I highly recommend!

I've been going here since the end of last year, and seeing them monthly for infusions. I love the staff so much! I have gotten to know them quite well over the last 6ish months, and I have never had a problem with anyone!

Dr Bhalla and his team at Ironwood Cancer Center have literally saved my life!! Dr Bhalla is beyond an expert in his field, but shows a humility and kindness each appointment. 2.5 years into my stage 4 cancer treatment and I am thriving!!
