Great hospital.

These people were superstars! Best emergency room experience I ever had!! Very grateful!!

Came in for serious illness and was admitted reasonably quickly. Care was high level and staff was courteous. People just complain because they come for minor issues and are treated as such.

The only reliable and knowledgeable place to go in the area. Doctors and staff were nice and considerate . Would never want to go back there as it implies there is a medical emergency but good to know they are there.

I've never been to an ER before where literally everyone (security, doctors, residents, nurses, techs, receptionists, etc) were ALL so friendly, upbeat, and helpful. Especially in this day and age, it was a very welcome surprise. I expected a long wait, but treatment was prompt and timelines were clearly communicated. Going to an Emergency Room is never a "good" experience, but the wonderful staff here helped make it easier.

Is there going to be a long wait?Yes. Yes there will be. 11 hours was our experience but the nurses and doctors were incredible and working as hard as they could.They were amazing, hard working and doing their best despite the hardships.

I arrived by ambulance 🚑 and was taken immediately into a room with no wait. I got immediate and very throw treatment. The staff was wonderful, professional and attentive. The testing facilities were all right at hand with no downtime. The results were quick. They found out what was wrong with me and gave me an excellent solution. If you are in need of emergency care I would not hesitate to go to Albany Medical Center.

Absolutely beautifully orchestrated care in the Albany Med Emergency Dept. All staff members (from the security staff, to the visitor liaison, the receptionist, the CNA's, PCT's, Transport Team, CT scan techs, radiologists, nurses, and doctors) were kind and professional. They communicated fluidly, functioning as a well-oiled, fine-tuned, and cohesive unit. From the onset, they thoroughly explained all COVID-related and visiting policies clearly. Communication was immediate and thorough. We were particularly impressed by the nursing staff, who was kind, intelligent, and respectful as we navigated through severe complications related to a new and devastating cancer diagnosis for my brother. More specifically, Natima D, RN was my brother's nurse in the ED. She is an OUTSTANDING human being and an EXTRAORDINARY nurse. Being a Neonatal ICU nurse myself, I have very high standards. Natima's kindness, professionalism, intelligence, critical thinking skills, bedside manner, and compassion were second to none. She treated my brother as if he was her own. She treated our family like we were a part of her's. My brother is only 56, and has advanced, end-stage Multiple Myeloma. Previously, his trips to the "that other Albany hospital's" ED have been complete nightmares. But today God guided us to Albany Med, and He gifted us with Nurse Natima and the wonderful staff of the Albany Med ED, We will be forever grateful for their compassion, professionalism, expertise, and empathy.

Waited about 4 hours before being called back, which is normally expected being the emergency department. Outstanding care and hospitality by nurses and doctors. Registration staff was very welcoming when I arrived. I would recommend this place 100%.
